Red, orange, yellow-green, and mineral grey. Leafy, powdery, shrubby, and crusty. Lichens are both eye-catching and astoundingly diverse. This talk aims to break down lichen biology and identification for those without microscopes and laboratories. The region boasts and incredible diversity of unique lichens, and we will cover which boreal, temperate, tropical, and arctic-alpine species you might get a chance to see while out exploring.
