Join Justin Jonsson and Dorothy Campbell from the Ontario Geological Survey’s Resident Geologist Program for an evening of learning and discussion about geology and mining in northwestern Ontario. Topics will include the formation of mineral deposits and updates on mineral exploration projects/producing mines, and a hands-on display of rock and mineral samples from across the region. A special focus of the presentation will be on lithium: how it concentrates into a mineral deposit, why there is suddenly so much exploration interest in the area, and what we can expect in the future.
