Group 1 – Early Birds @ 8:30 AM – 10:00 AM (20 participant limit)

Group 2 – Late Birds @ 10:30 AM – 11:30 AM (20 participant limit)

Enjoy an hour of birding and learn about bird banding and migration monitoring. Don’t forget to bring your cell phone, camera, and binoculars and dress for the weather. Registration is required since we need to limit the group size.

Contact Neil Dawson at pumagulo@gmail.com to register. You must provide an email address since the bird observatory will not open during stormy weather. You will be contacted if the event is full or cancelled. Meet 10 minutes before the hike by turning one kilometre east on Baffin St. from Island Drive, Thunder Bay, Ontario.

Please bring a $5 donation for the bird observatory.

To participate in the world’s largest bioblitz:

1. Download the iNaturalist app and/or sign up at iNaturalist.ca
2. Explore your yard, neighbourhood, nearby parks, or anywhere you can from April 28 to May 1, 2023
3. Take photos of WILD organisms such as plants, fungi, insects, birds, mammals, and everything else you can!
4. upload your photos to iNaturalist by May 7, 2023. Canadian and Global results are shared on May 8, 2023
