Field Trip – Birding in Chippewa Park *** Note: This Outing is Now Full ***

Join Samantha Krause and Susan Craig at Chippewa Park to search for incoming boreal bird species. Migration is in full swing with new species showing up every day – let’s see what we can find!

This event is open to birders of all levels. Samantha will help new birders improve their identification skills (both visual and acoustic) while both Susan and Samantha will be on the lookout for any and all birds hiding in the brush or out on the water.

Dress in layers! Expect cool breezes off Lake Superior. The biting insects (especially ticks) will be plentiful, so come prepared with bug repellant and appropriate footwear. Expect to walk 3-5 km on a mix of gravel and packed ground.

Meet at 8:00 am, Sunday 17 May, in the Chippewa parking lot by the beach (and playground).
