Snowshoe and Winter Tracking Adventure – Efts Event

February 12, 2022 @ 1:00 PM 4:00 PM

Guest leader Gerry Racey will lead us on a snowshoe scavenger hunt through the varying habitats of Mills Block Forest. We will embark on a winter tracking adventure and learn to spot and identify signs of wildlife. Along the way, we will discuss the winter ecology and biological adaptations of local boreal species.

Please note:

  • This is a TBFN youth event. See our Youth Programming Page or contact Courtney at the email address above for more information.
  • TBFN outings follow all Covid-19 guidelines and restrictions set forth by the Thunder Bay District Health Unit and provincial government.
  • There is a $5 parking fee for LRCA properties, including Mills Block Forest. Alternatively, an annual Expore Card parking pass can be purchased for $40 + HST. Parking fees can be paid and Explore Cards can be purchased online here

COVID-19 PROTOCOL:

As part of our effort to provide safe programming during COVID-19, we require everyone attending to agree to the following mandatory precautions. You will not be able to submit your registration until you have agreed to the following precautions. Thank you for your help in keeping everyone safe.

  • Personal distances of 2 m should be kept whenever possible.
  • Masks are to be worn inside unless there is a personal or medical reason for not doing so.
  • Masks are optional outside as long as personal distancing can be maintained. Everyone should have a mask ready for use in case it is needed.
  • Individuals should not attend if they are feeling unwell or otherwise suspect they may have been exposed to the virus.
