Beginning to Bird – Wolf Packs Event

WOLF PACKS EVENT – This event has been designed for children 6-11 years old, but older and younger children are also welcome. Parent/guardian accompaniment is required. See here for more information.

You probably see birds around you every day, but how much attention do you pay to them? Birding is a wonderful way to start learning about local wildlife – unlike any other critters that can be difficult or rare to spot, birds can usually be seen no matter where you are, even in urban spaces. Keith Wade will help guide us on a walk at Boulevard Lake as we look and listen for land and water birds, practice identifying the birds we see and hear, and learn about their behaviours and habitats.

COVID-19 PROTOCOL:

As part of our effort to provide safe programming during COVID-19, we require everyone attending to agree to the following mandatory precautions. You will not be able to submit your registration until you have agreed to the following precautions. Thank you for your help in keeping everyone safe.

  • Personal distances of 2 m should be kept whenever possible.
  • Masks are to be worn inside unless there is a personal or medical reason for not doing so.
  • Masks are optional outside as long as personal distancing can be maintained. Everyone should have a mask ready for use in case it is needed.
  • Individuals should not attend if they are feeling unwell or otherwise suspect they may have been exposed to the virus.
