Sunday, February 23 @ 5:00 PM – 9:00 PM

Tickets for the Annual Dinner with the Thunder Bay Field Naturalists are now ON SALE! Please join us for a cozy winter evening filled with good company, warm food, and nature-inspired fun.
This event will include a buffet dinner, guest speaker, silent auction, door prizes, and a cash-only bar offering wine and beer. This event is open to the general public, so please spread the word and invite your friends and family. Tickets are $45/person. Participation in the silent auction requires cash, cheque, or PayPal. The bar only accepts cash.
We are fortunate enough to have Doug Tate as our guest speaker. A born Ontarian and life-long nature enthusiast, Doug is currently an ecologist with Parks Canada, having spent most of his career at Nahanni National Park Reserve in the Northwest Territories. Doug’s talk will highlight several research projects he was involved in during his time at Nahanni National Park including studies on grizzly bears, butterflies, bull trout, and hot spring flowers – as well as showcase some of the spectacular areas protected by our national parks system. Most of the talk will focus on the natural history and landscape of Nahanni, but Doug will reference other sites and provide a brief update on the Lake Superior National Marine Conservation Area.
Please plan to join the Thunder Bay Field Naturalists at the Annual Dinner on Sunday, February 23rd at the Current River Community Centre. Doors will open at 5:00 pm with dinner at approximately 6:00 pm.
